What are the main categories of construction projects?
Most construction type projects can be categorized into a small number of major types: Residential (homes, apartments), Commercial (offices, shops, hotels), Industrial (factories, power plants) and Infrastructure/Civil (roads, bridges, sewage systems). Other categories are also enclosed Institutional (schools, hospitals, government buildings), Mixed-use (residential and commercial together) and Environmental (such as renewable/or wastewater). The knowledge of them contributes to planning, regulations, selection of materials, and the partners.
